Today we laid to rest Uncle Herb C. Scott. It was the kind of service he would have really liked. It was a celebration. The preacher was entertaining and you could feel love and joy in the church - not very much sorry.

Uncle Herb 2013, 80s Party |
Herb was one of those kind of guys, as the pastor recognized, one of those people who felt good all the time and made others feel good as well. The
light-up-the-room kind of guy; good listener and devout in his beliefs. Dedicated to his family, his wife of 62 years, his lodge and his church - not necessarily in that order.
Reading through his eulogy finds a lot of firsts and a lot of hustle in his life, for instance, his sales skills being rewarded by a Cadillac, Fleetwood... which was that era's version of the Pink Mary Kay Cadillac.
Rest in Peace, Uncle Herb. I suppose I'll be updating this blog... just a quick little space saver.
Cheers.
