The Magic is Happening

Last week.. or the last month really I've been thinking about a situation that is on going. So I can't be specific about it... (if too much time passes, I might even forget it.) Part of being a friend is not telling my friends how to live their lives. Last weekend we got to talk about it. Indeed, I got to listen. This situation isn't going to turn out well - we both know that. I plan not to be around when things collapse.

Monday I'm at the Y and the coordinator leaves a card for a colleague who I am not acquainted with. "I don't know anybody here anymore," I tell the coordinator, not lamenting my lack of friends at the Y. She tells me I should sub more often. Moments later I am asked if I can sub a chair-based yoga class (or two) in September and October. I recognized the sign. It's an opportunity, especially as I've recently become certified as an Older Adult Fitness Trainer. I am presently studying up so I can offer a good session. 

Some other magic happened also. A good friend on the other side of the planet got through some tough times, and while I couldn't physically be there for her, I was there for her, from here... and it was appreciated. 

The magic has yet to happen in another situation I've been trying to manifest since the beginning of this year (or maybe late last year.) I issued a challenge to the Universe and so far the Universe has declined. Because I'm more of a thinker than a feeler I've been trying to imagine how this adventure will go down, Over thinking a situation can kill it... as Alan Watts relates, desiring not to desire is still desiring. As strong as my magic is, i may still be shooting myself in the foot by over-thinking.  Maybe it's not even meant to happen. It would be too confusing.

I need to chill on this one. If it doesn't happen by the time I leave, it wasn't meant to and I'll have to deal with that. I should maybe even withdraw the challenge.

Today I made this symbol. Not exactly a logo, but it might become something. It looks to me as if something is missing, but then it also seems as if I add one more thing to it, it will be thrown off somehow. Maybe i just need to absorb it. 

I'm thinking maybe two more symbols at 1 and 7 o'clock, in white, but I can't think of anything else I associate my psyche with. I almost dropped a record in here, but wasn't feeling it. I think I can make this a transparency and start dropping it over some of my memes... or make it into a business card; slip my email address and phone digits into the outer curves. This will probably make a good sticker when (if in my case) I get it completed. 

Okay, so that's the update, with about 135 days to go. I'm going to get my orbs checked out, so maybe I'll get some cool new shades. new shades, new look.
