The theme is "Let Go or be dragged" Zen Proverb |
Building on the previous post regarding Transformation, the new lunar year has further advice for me.
Tisha advises, "The best way to navigate this year is to stay flexible, agile, and expect the unexpected. Best not to look down."
Two characteristics I admire, although I have not completely mastered. Some of my friends and colleagues might think otherwise, in fact I was told by the fitness coordinator at the University that I've been referred to as Mr. Flexible. The best advice I've ever gotten, in my late tweens, was to expect the unexpected. After years of struggling to understand how this could be done, I realized it means simply Be prepared.
2016 is numerologically a 9-year. "In numerology, the number nine holds the vibration of completion."
This very much aligns with what's happening in my life this year; Completing a career, as well as a lifestyle.
This, however, is what struck me the hardest, because... it's hard to explain how I feel about people; sometimes they are disappointing because they don't live "up" to my expectations, (but then that gets into a whole idea as to why I should have expectations of them, anyway... but that's another topic.) But also they don't seem to walk their talk at times... thus the following must be initiated...
"Anything and everything that is no longer serving your highest and best interest (aka, your soul) has to go. It is time to end any thoughts, habits, beliefs, people, places, or things that are no longer worthy of moving forward with you into the new."
And places includes Philadelphia.
I may have to write this out and tack it on the fridge, because I have a tendency to forgive people their ways that conflict with my higher goals. I may have to ask myself, if what they want to do will take me towards my goal, or move me away.
Hmmm.... I think I'll start today.
HAPPY NEW YEAR.
